Roy Clark

Roy was born in Americus, Georgia on December 11, 1947, the first son of Roy E. and Rosie B. Clark. They moved to Atlanta when he was three so that his father could find work. He grew up in Atlanta and went to Atlanta Public Schools, graduating in 1967. He joined the Army and was in the Vietnam War for three years and came back mostly alive.

He went to work for the "Railroad" and worked various jobs there for 21 years, ranging from sweeping it to running it. He left the Railroad when it left him and went into business for himself as a real estate broker. It was there he really learned about Life and People. He did that for approximately 12 years.

Needing a new challenge, Roy started doing stand-up comedy since there were few frontiers left to a man his age. he discovered that he enjoyed it and has been "IN" comedy ever since.
