Mia Jackson

Mia Jackson was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia. Not your average woman at six feet tall, this self proclaimed know it all is literally the center of attention among friends and family. Always the life of the party, she wondered what would happen if she took her sense of humor to the stage. The results have been good. Mia is emerging as a diverse comedienne with a different voice and perspective.

After graduating from the University of Georgia with a degree in Speech Communication she started recording her thoughts, ideas, and life adventures in a comedy notebook and soon hit the local comedy scene. Mia's energetic conversational style leaves the audience feeling as if they know her, and they often wonder if her stories are fact or fiction. Smart, funny, and versatile, Mia entertains all types of crowds, whether it's corporate, colleges, or comedy clubs.

Recently invited out to LA as a contestant on BET's Coming to the Stage, Mia was selected from over a thousand tape submissions. She has also appeared on Oxygen's Girls Behaving Badly. In addition, she's been a go-to comedienne for the University of Georgia having appeared at events such as the First Annual Minority Alumni Conference and annual Fall Comedy Show. She's also done shows for Georgia Tech and non-profit organizations such as the Athens Canine Rescue. Watch out for Mia Jackson as she plots a rise to the top of the comedy world.
